Do At Your Own Risk.

Symbian^4 - Belle Update got leaked on internet. Its completely awesome with a user interface similar to that of Android. Before you start following this tutorial, we recommend you to have a look at some videos of Nokia N8 running on leaked Symbian Belle and explore the Screen Shots captured on Symbian Belle on Nokia N8.
1. Download Phoenix 2011 from here
2. Download Latest ivo777 Symbian^4 Belle CFW from here (Latest 30th August Build of Bell) (Note that its a hacked firmware)
3. Note that you must need Leaked or Official Symbian Anna firmware inside the RM-596 folder to trick the phoenix. Your phone doesn't need to be on Symbian Anna, it could be even on PR 1.0.
4. Make sure you have placed Symbian Anna firmware files in folder path:
C:/Program Files/Nokia/Phoenix/Products/RM-596
5. Now connect your Nokia N8 in PC Suite Mode with USB cable and run Phoenix
6. Goto File and hit Scan Product (wait for some time)
7. Proceed to Flashing and hit Firmware update.
8. Select the firmware product code with three dots (...) (Don't worry for the product code, it can be any one)

9. Now at the end you'll see OPTION button, hit that and you'll see Symbian Anna Firmware files over here. (This is the real part of this tutorial)

10. Click on edit and replace the Symbian Anna firmware files with four Symbian Belle Firmware files. This step is most important! (Make sure the Belle firmware files are exactly named as shown in the picture below)

11. Hit OK and now Click on REFURBISH button. The flashing process would start and might ask you to disconnect USB cable and connect it again and slightly push the power button on N8 to initiate flashing Symbian Belle Firmware.
How to Fix Java on Symbian Belle / Unable to Run Java Apps on Symbian Belle:
This firmware doesn't support to run java based apps. It is recommended to flash your Nokia N8 with hacked UDA of Symbian Belle provided above. So that you can fix the java issue manually.
1. Once you are on hacked firmware run Rom Patcher and enable Open4all patch.
3. Extract them in C:/ using X-plore after enabling Open4all patch from ROM Patcher.
Languages in this Firmware:
Arabic and English
Bugs:
1. Touch Screen Vibrations work at level 3 only.
2. Widely used apps like Opera Mobile and Skype aren't working on Belle.
3. Java bug can be fixed by using the above mentioned steps
Frequently Asked Questions:
Q: Will I need Symbian Anna Firmware on my N8 to flash Symbian Belle?
A: NO! Your Nokia N8 doesn't need to be on ANNA Firmware. (It can be even on PR 1.0) Though you must have Symbian Anna Firmware in your PC in RM-596 folder to play the trick with Phoenix to initiate flashing process.
Q: Will updating to Belle or Downgrading from Belle to PR 1.0 erase my all data from the phone?
A: NO! You data would remain preserved, however backup of your important data is always recommended.

If you have installed soft. on your computer and for any reason it gives you issues, the best thing to do is to uninstall it. Period. But what happen if such a piece of soft. keeps restarting your Windows operating system or worst, disables certain services so that you won’t be able to performs some important operation anymore ? In this case Windows will help you with a special feature called Safe Mode. Basically, in Safe Mode you will be able to troubleshoot your computer in order to fix issues. However, if you need to uninstall and remove some soft., you have to know that this kind of “limited state” Mode has the Windows Installer Service completely disabled. Let’s see how to turn it on and uninstall everything… even in the Safe Mode configuration. Windows Installation Service is responsible for the installation and uninstallation procedure. If you try to access it in Safe Mode you will get the following message: “The Windows Installer Service could not be accessed. This can occur if the Windows Installer is not correctly installed. Contact your Support Personnel for assistance”. The following tutorial will teach you how to turn the Windows Installation Service in Safe Mode:
1. Click Start
2. In the Search field, type regedit and press Enter.
3. Locate the following registry key: HKLM\ SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\ Control\SafeBoot\ Minimal\
4. Right-click on the Mininal key and from the menu select New – Key. Now name the new key MSIService and change the value to Service by double-clicking it.
5. If you are in the Safe Mode with Network Mode, repeat the above steps for the following registry key: HKLM\ SYSTEM#92;CurrentControlSet\ Control\ SafeBoot\Network\
6. The newly created MSIService will make available the Windows Installation Service in Safe Mode. However, I want to remind you that it is necessary to turn the new service on.
7. To do it, exit regedit, click Start and in the Search field type: services.msc and press Enter.
8. From the list, locate Windows Installer. Right-click it and select Start.
9. If the procedure to turn on Windows Installer doesn’t work try this one:
10. Click Start.
11. In the search field, type cmd. Do not press Enter.
12. Right click the Command DOS icon and click the Run it as Administrator link.
13. In the command prompt, type net start msiserver.

How To Create a desktop shortcut for locking your comp!
If you use your computer in an area where others may have access to it, and there are things on your system you would rather have kept confidential, locking your desktop when you leave the computer is an essential task. Here’s a recipe for a desktop shortcut that will lock your computer in two easy clicks:
Right click on an empty area of the desktop and choose ‘new’ then ’shortcut.’ The create shortcut wizard will open; in the first text box, type ‘%windir%\System32\rundll32.exe user32.dll,LockWorkStation’ and then give your shortcut an appropriate name on the next page, and hit ‘finish.’
You will notice that the shortcut you created has a blank icon. To select a more appropriate one, right click on the shortcut and hit ‘properties.’ In the ’shortcut’ tab, click the ‘change icon’ button.
In the ‘look for icons in this file’ box, type ‘%SystemRoot%\system32\SHELL32.dll’ then click ‘ok’ to see a range of icons for your new shortcut. Choose an appropriate icon. Your desktop locking shortcut is now ready for use. Test it out.
